Smart oncology thesaurus
is an open-source initiative started by support of the
Swiss Cancer Foundation
and Department of Radiation Oncology, Intelspital, Bern University Hospital, University of Bern. Tehnical development is provided by
Wemedoo AG
, Sumpfstrasse 24, 6312 Steinhausen, Switzerland.
SmartOncology
was developed with the support of the
Swiss Cancer Foundation
from 2019 to 2021. The purpose of the project was to create software solutions that facilitate the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of oncological patients.
Our mutual efforts yielded breakthrough results, as we created
SwissOpenOncology
– a collaborative platform that operates as a knowledge exchange medium.
Swiss Open Oncology
SwissOpenOncology serves to the advantage of oncology community on a global scale and aims to establish a world standard for:
Oncology-related terminology
Clinical data modelling
Designing clinical pathways and guidelines
Data exchange in oncology using semantic interoperability
Clinical software ergonomics
SwissOpenOncology
was rooted in oncology but our goal is to create the infrastructure for the advancement of global healthcare.
We invite experts from other clinical or preclinical disciplines to use the resources and help us improve the platform, or collaborate with us in the development.
